My Mother died approx. 8 yrs ago being at this hospital. (Sat in E.R. to die before being forwarded to Hospice.) Earlier in the week, upon getting a room; there was limited staff. Staff Seldom came in to check or assist.. Night nurse reading paperback.. money making fast. I went to this hospital ER with extreme abdominal and pelvic pain. It was a first time and a last time(to this hospital) in my life. Waiting time was not bad, just few minutes. I felt that this doctor was not listening to me. He ordered a lots of tests and X rays and blood work and other exams,that were not necessary but left out one ,most important test, stool test. Do Not Go To This Hospital!!! A very dear family member of mine passed in this hospital, the care she received was absolutely below par compared to any hospital I've seen in my life. There is very poor communication between the doctors and nurses, not to mention with the patients family members..seeing a doctor or specialist face to face is almost impossible, you get information from the doctors and specialists through the nurses.. note even though she was in critical condition! I received good care at the hospital I scheduled an elective surgery at Northside Hospital, and I am very satisfied with the care I received there. The reception staff was helpful and courteous, I received very thorough pre-op care, the anesthesiologist was very compassionate, and the post-op staff were very attentive and competent. The surgery was performed without incident and I have had a full recovery.
Northside Hospital long waiting equipment is not service like it should be Doctors do not listen or look at bracelets on your risk. Under staff Rushing to complete a patient caused to many errors I would never go there again or recommend anyone to.
The billing department is uneducated and not qualified – I would rather die than ever go to this hospital again. It is not my job to correct the billing dept mistakes. They said it was. The hospital doesn't want me on hospital property. I would be very vocal to others about the lack of educated and professional staff, and i'm sure would involve the police removing from the hohspital grounds.
