My wife and I visited for the first time recently and had a fabulous time. The owner happened to greet us on the way in and we had a great conversation. As someone else mentioned, he encourages guests to walk the property and even walk into the manor house. Just there for our first time. Place is beautiful, comfortable and service was impeccable. I had the Bronzini and my husband had the ribs. They were both delicious. It's alway a welcome site to see the owner walking around, talking to the clientle and thanking you for coming.
We had a fantastic meal at their Sunday supper experience. The Sunday pasta was served with short rib and veggies - delicious. My partner and I shared the ribs and fried chicken after having a great salad appetizer to start. We were able to sit outside which was a bonus for us :) Can't wait to try the prix fixe menu.
I've had two very good meals here, but I've also made two reservations for other meals that were cancelled because of private parties, forcing me to change holiday plans. I understand the right of the restaurant to privilege private parties, but it's still frustrating when you've planned for a night out.
