Northpoint is a safe place with a comfortable atmosphere. Multiple group rooms/ lounge areas. A cafeteria thats open 24/7 with snacks available in the building as well. Nursing made detox a comfortable experience and if the withdrawals are to bad you may rest if need be. Groups were enjoyable, the food could be better...but most of us weren't eating before we came so take that for what its worth. Overall I would recommend NP to a friend.
I was VERY on the fence about what type and how much treatment I needed (if any) and my wife found North Point inpatient. As scared as I was, I agreed to go. Would not trade it for anything! It wasn't like a jail sentence, more like the time and support to get my life and my head back on track. The staff are 100% genuinely looking to help in every way, I made some lifelong friends, and continuing on to PHP and IOP continues to give me the tools and support to embark upon this new journey. Rarely do I rate or publicly criticize an organization that has helped me so much, but honestly something needs to be said. I went days with out sleeping trying to see a doctor. After filing a grievance and throwing a fit then things got handled. I then wanted to detox from soboxon and had to throw another fit to see a doctor to help with that.
