Our old GE Range broke down. The tech came out within a couple of days, noted the problem When he went to order the new part he discovered the part was no longer available. We have replacement assistance so requested we receive partial payment towards a new range. We filled out the paperwork and received a check towards the new range a few days later. Very pleased with the service.

Xcel energy provided electricity to my restaurant in Minnesota. Two months after the business closed, the electrical bill remained the same despite absence of operation and equipment. On top of that Xcel energy charged a random number of kilo watts - in my case 22 KW at the rate of $10.85 per KW; thus, adding $250 per month to my bill. Xcel energy called that "peak winter". Terrible, unethical company! It's a shame we don't have choices! Customer service is non-existent. My 12- year old daughter has more of a brain than these people.

I called in on Saturday about one o'clock I was greeted by a lady that was really rude To me she could not find my account under my phone number I had to give her my old phone number Then she said I wasn't on the account and I had to get my wife on the phone to have her permission for me to talk to her about a simple question I usually call in and you guys are really good about stuff So I don't know if it was an answering service or what it was but it did not sound like home smart to me Was treated like a second class citize... read more

Put in a transfer service request for an upcoming move. Come home from work one day (5 days before the move and the scheduled xfer) and find some flyers on my door saying they did some work and left the gas off. I call right then and there to ask why, and the operator tells me nothing has been turned off. I wonder why she tells me this because there's a flyer on my front and back door telling me it has been turned off. I ask her "Are you sure the hot water isn't just going to run out?" Insane gulf between rhetoric and action with this company. I spoke with a customer service agent over the phone (40 minutes altogether) who assured me my auto pay option was terminated in February 2022. Even asked about the next day if it would go through. She basically said I'm good, then auto pay when through the next day and I was charged an overdraft fee of $30. I go to check my bill this month and my February payment was refunded six days later. The technician the came out to fix my central AC was very professional and thorough and made sure everything was working good before he left. I will trust nobody else to the job but Homesmart.
