Kalinda has been great in helping me set up my acct for my new house in Chama NM. When getting set up for the first time things can get hectic. Kalinda has helped me in every way possible assuring that I am up and running so to speak for the transfer of ownership of the house. The team at NORA work so hard to maintain service in the rugged mountains of Northern New Mexico. When weather hits and outages occur, their team is out in difficult and dangerous weather conditions and work around the clock until power is restored. I am truly grateful for everyone at NORA from the team in the office to the Lineman in the field. Thank you for all you do!

If you believe that all New Mexico electric cooperatives are equal in their operation , you are mistaken. Northern Rio Arriba Electric Coop (aka NORA) is at the bottom of the pile. NORA and it's Board of Directors refuse to purchase it's members grid-tied solar electricity at a reasonable rate. A member of NORA who is a grid-tied solar electric producer will be paid the lowest rate possible per KWH, then NORA will charge back to you the highest rate possible.
