Northern Regional Center for Independent Living (NRCIL) in Watertown, NY is a community-based disability rights and resource center. We were started in 1987 with a grant from the New York State education department, through the work of a grassroots group called Citizens United for the Removal of Barriers (CURB) and the Disabled Persons Action Organization. We are now part of a network of 37 independent living centers in New York State and over 450 centers across the nation.

I went for help with counseling, and every other week, they would cancel or try to reschedule. I wasn't getting the help that I needed. It seemed like the people who were supposed to help you just were not helping you as much as themselves.
I love this place. The people are very kind and they help you the way they should. They’re better than Bridge in the gap. I will give them a five stars and I will never give up on with them. They help you the way they should more than I can say Bridge and the gap Bridge and the gap didn’t even help me and my daughter the way they should’ve and I feel that’s not right But I love this company and they’re very kind and they’re very nice. God bless America.
This organization is absolutely wonderful. I am 75 years old and wheelchair bound at this point in time. They have worked with me and have been patient with me. I highly recommend them and their staff. You will find no better in Watertown New York.
