NRCIL failed to meaningfully advocate for me as a disabled client. Endless meetings, years-long delays, exclusion from supports, and discouragement from exercising my legal rights. Leadership dismissed my concerns rather than addressing them. The organization’s actions did not match its ADA advocacy messaging. Proceed with caution. Go somewheres else - Find An Organization that is Way More helpful and kind. These people at NRCIL are the Opposite of Kind.
That Yerdon girl has helped me tremendously in my independent living journey. I've worked with majority of the staff in watertown, as I also volunteer for NRCIL and I have never had a bad experience. I appreciate everything NRCIL has done to teach me to be more independent with my chronic conditions.
Horrible place they set up times to talk a month out that could be discussed sooner and when you do talk they put all the issues on you and barely provide any credible information. Also theyll put issues that can be resolved legally onto you to spend the money or time rather than help you find proper channels to go through. Spent 6 months one year trying to get help to basically just talk to a guy for nothing. Same thing just happen do not go here there are tons of other areas that actually have pertinent information to help... read more
Took my stepson and mom for drumming class so fun
I went for help with counseling, and every other week, they would cancel or try to reschedule. I wasn't getting the help that I needed. It seemed like the people who were supposed to help you just were not helping you as much as themselves.
