Outstanding Doctors, Disappointing Optical Department I am giving two stars only because the medical side of this practice deserves much better. I was there during the second week of April for my annual eye exam. I wish I remembered the doctor's name because he was not only professional and knowledgeable, but one of the kindest human beings I have ever met. I had a really frustrating experience calling Northern Ophthalmic because of the woman at the front desk who identified herself as Michelle. From the moment she answered the phone, her tone was rude and impatient. When I tried to ask a simple question about scheduling and insurance, she cut me off mid-sentence and said, “I already told you that,” even though she had not explained it clearly. Dr. Schneider is the best ophthalmologist I’ve ever been to. The office staff is terrible. Called on way to appt that I was running 10 minutes late. They told me I had a 15 min grace period which I made. However, they made me stand at reception for 10 minutes and when I reminded them I was late, they were very rude. So, after waiting for reception for 10 minutes they rescheduled me because it was too late. Apparently, this is not the only bad review for office staff.
