I had a really frustrating experience calling Northern Ophthalmic because of the woman at the front desk who identified herself as Michelle. From the moment she answered the phone, her tone was rude and impatient. When I tried to ask a simple question about scheduling and insurance, she cut me off mid-sentence and said, “I already told you that,” even though she had not explained it clearly. Dr. Schneider is the best ophthalmologist I’ve ever been to. The office staff is terrible. Called on way to appt that I was running 10 minutes late. They told me I had a 15 min grace period which I made. However, they made me stand at reception for 10 minutes and when I reminded them I was late, they were very rude. So, after waiting for reception for 10 minutes they rescheduled me because it was too late. Apparently, this is not the only bad review for office staff. Doctor in Norristown didnt listen to my husband with the issues he was having. Gave him a test for something he said he doesnt have. My husband took the doctors word for the test he needed. Paid the cost, paid the cost for of the first appointment that they charged him more for but only did a regular exam. It took a month for them to get back to him with results which should have been a lot faster. Never again and I will post on social media so hopefully others dont get screwed by them.
The optician appears to come and go as she pleases. They are never there. I called in the morning and they said they would be there until 4:30. I came at 2 and she had already left for the day
