So grateful to NWVH for their care of our 11 year-old golden Finn when our previous vet closed their doors right when he needed urgent surgery. Dr. Mittner was able to get us in quickly for consultation and surgery. Even though we were not previous clients, NWVH staff were kind and welcoming when we really needed it. We are loyal customers from now on.
I've had so many bad experiences with "bird" vets in the past, and I'm so thankful to have found Dr. Peck. He was honest about his knowledge and abilities, and his years of experience were evident. He handled my parrot with confidence and care, and I didn't feel rushed to be in and out of the exam. Very thankful to have found this place!

I cannot say enough nice things about this vet. Dr Mittner is amazing and all the things a good vet should be. We drove 2+ hours away for some specialized care and from day one this hospital treated us like long time customers, even though we realistically would not use them after my dog’s injury healed because of the distance. The most kind, caring and knowledgeable staff in the area! Our elderly kidney disease cat had her tail amputated to remove a cancerous growth at nearly 16, and a dental with extractions early this week at nearly 18 years old. Both procedures went very well, she has recovered great and we couldn’t be happier! All the staff makes sure you’re informed and works to make sure treatment is in the best interest of your pet. Would absolutely recommend!
Great staff! I’m a new visitor, and they took very good care of a new adoptee parrot. Appointment was made super quick. Staff and doctor peck was very informative, kind, and professional. I’ll be back with the rest of my flock soon!

I rescued an adult bearded dragon for my son and was very concerned about him. Dr.Peck helped Kevin with constipation and reached me a few ways to help Kevin get more veggies since he is just like my human son. Kevin is super relieved now. At first he was not happy to see me. They also worked with me on the cost. I didn't expect it it to cost what it did, I wasn't aware he was super constipated, and the cost of two enemas and medication.
