Food is avg and extremely overpriced. It is a fish fry so expect the grease and overall greasy spoon feel. I do find it funny how locals defend this place. Way to show your financial ineptitude by blindly supporting this establishment which has been overcharging you for decades. Congrats. Too bad the city of syracuse is an hour away, they have atleast 10 fish frys and every one has better food AND prices so much so that some will travel the hour to from watertown to syracuse to get it. my crew and I eat there every week and the staff is always nice. food is a little grease but what do ya expect from fried food. otherwise its good and the potato salad is the best in town!

ROSE68, What's your problem? Jean's Beans has been around for years and they don't need a crybaby like you giving them problems. Their prices are as close to any other retail store in the city and not very many places make the food frsh every day. You sound like you're a cheapy and want everything for nothing. I have been going there for over 30 years and the place has always been neat and clean and the staff has been more than curtious on several occasions. i was a customer and had to use the restroom. in the back there was raw fish just sitting, dishes were piled in the sink, and raw chicken sitting on a table.My total for fish and a few sides was simply way to much.My family and friends will not eat here again.
