Back in August of this year I developed a very complex and serious wound on my calf. After starting to think that I might actually lose my lower leg, I got my first appointment with Maura. It didn't take her long to figure out what was going on, something the ER and other docs couldn't do. It was a huge, scary wound but she fearlessly started to do the work necessary to start it on the road to healing. For 15 weeks I had to see her two or three times a week.
