Dishonest and disorganized. Avoid Mountain Top location! I made an appointment back in December for a contact lens fitting. NEI Mountain Top told me it would be $40 to get my contact fitting and then I could order new contacts. Last week, March 13, I get a call from them saying they will be charging me $90 because I now have to pay the $40 plus $50 for a refraction. I was not happy with the late notice. I am telling my story as a warning that I wish that I had read before going to Eye Care Specialists. I went to Eye Care Specialists on 10/29/20 for a routine eye exam fully covered by my insurance. The doctor ended up doing a minor medical procedure also. I received a bill dated 11/25/20 for an unpaid balance. I called the Eye Care Specialists billing dept. several times and was finally told that the balance was paid on 1/6/21. I thought that was the end of the Eye Care Specialists billing saga. I had successful cataract surgery and it went well. My yearly appointment after that was not good. The person who checked my vision for my prescription had a bad attitude and I ended up spending $500 on glasses only to discover that my prescription was wrong. Life has been busy and I have not had a chance to contact them about it until now.

Staff is very polite, friendly, helpful and proficient. Doctor Borland is a great doctor. Waiting time is acceptable. Not too long. All COVID precautions were taken.
