Our experience in the ER last night was extremely disappointing. We brought our 8 month old son in around 1am because he had been vomiting, had a 102° fever, grunting while breathing, and was clearly very sick. We didn't leave until almost 6:00 a.m. After his initial vitals were taken, his oxygen level was 88%, yet there seemed to be no urgency in addressing his condition. Main complaint his lack of communication, a key to any experience 4 1/2 hours in the emergency waiting room. As a new patient, there was poor interface to get my records. Because of that I had two complete CT’s and bloodwork done on the same day. More waiting. Staff was spotty, some good some seemed not so good I was put in a room with no windows and no bathroom Surgeon who actually did the work on me did not visit I was seen by an associate, unsatisfactory Getting medication was a slow and painful process. I had a surprise landing into their trauma center after a motor vehicle accident. The staff was incredibly thorough and competent. I will be forever grateful to them for saving my leg and for taking such amazing care of me. If I could give them 12 stars, I would.

It isn't the most important issue, but the ladies in the gift shop are fantastic. They were caring and very helpful.
