It was my first time and a great first time. I would definitely go again.
We have to travel from Dunedin because our daughter competes in the bagpipe competitions! I love the down home feel of this Games! No, we don't need beer to have fun but it was a little odd that there was none there. I didn't miss it like others but did notice there wasn't any. It's a great, family oriented event that I would recommend for anyone.
Our 2nd year of attending and we plan on being there every year. Love the opening ceremony!
The games have progressed to a truly all day experience. There was enough to see and do to make the time go fast and it was evening before we knew it.
It was nice and interesting. Can't wait to go again but I agree it could use more drink vendors, it was hot.
