Honestly, if I had any other choice for power in Billings, I’d switch in a heartbeat. My bill has jumped nearly 25% in the last year despite my usage staying the same. They just keep raising rates to pay for their new plants while the rest of us struggle to keep the lights on. To top it off, their billing system is a mess. They recently claimed I missed a payment even though I had clear proof in my bank account. When I called, the representative was incredibly dismissive and flat-out didn't believe me. I had to stay firm and... read more

Last year my bill averaged $110.00 this year it's averaging $220.00, absolutely a ridiculous, corporate greed. Time to invest in a wood stove I guess.

I live in Billings and all last summer I ran my air conditioner full blast 24/7 and my power bill ran about $50 a month.. I stopped using it in September and I haven’t really needed heat until near November 20. Basically, they doubled my power bill each month for September, in October, and November! This is despite making concrete measures to reduce my power consumption. I don’t use my oven, don’t have a washer/dryer, and my thermostat is set at 60°. The Montana State legislature is allowing Northwest Energy to get away with... read more

I lost power this morning. I put in an outage ticket. Then I found out through research that the outage was scheduled for construction for 6.5 hours. This is the hottest day of the year at 105 degrees! 1. Why did they not reschedule it to another day rather than leave their customers without power for air conditioning and without freezers/refrigerators? 2. In this age of technology why did they not inform their customers of the lengthy outage prior to it happening? At least we could have tried to been prepared for it! Becaus... read more

I will never ever forget the way you treated my family & I... Bill was 800.00 we paid it down to 200.00 & $42.00 dollers short of the payment plan you turned off our power. I believe in capitalism but energy companies being a monopoly is a problem I will do everything in my power to get all these people you hurt together in protest of your business practices. I can't believe you laughed at me in my face. I'm gonna raise hell.
