Nice, large, well bedded stalls. Great place to layover on my way from Florida to Pennsylvania. And, it's almost exactly half way!
Laid over here with two horses for 4 nights while PCS'ing to Bragg. The staff was super helpful and seemed very trustworthy, and Rob obviously cares about his and his clients' horses. The stable was very tidy, and the lit riding arena was nice for getting in a ride at dusk. While we were only there for a few days, seems to be a great operation being run that fosters a nice sense of community in the barn.
I stay at North Star every spring and fall when I haul client horses to and from Florida and New England. This is my 3rd year doing so. Rob and the NSE staff are extremely accommodating no matter what time you have to arrive. Convenient to the highway and local hotels. Large, clean stalls with shavings and water buckets provided. Just bring your hay!
