MGH app told me to walk in. I walked in and was told to walk out. For a place called urgent care they sure aren't very urgent nor do they care.
I can’t speak to the experience but I will say that I agree that this is not an urgent care facility. This is a family medicine clinic posing as an urgent care. You have to make an appointment and if you aren’t in the system and their “registration person” has gone home by 9:30 AM (like they did today), they won’t take you. In other urgent care facilities, people can fill out paperwork and check in themselves so I don’t know why a specific person with a specific title needs to do that. PA Mark and Nurse Shannon were excellent! Both were very knowledgeable, personable, organized and most of all were dedicated to me during my time in the clinic. PA Mark performed a thorough assessment on me and explained every thought and outcome. Shannon was a great support and had great empathy for me from start to finish. Was just seen and was told I need to go To the er because I could be having a brain hemorrhage. They are allowing me to drive myself.
I have been trying to schedule an appt for 4 days and they reported the CT machine is down each day. I asked if a CT scan is need can they send a rec to MGB Salem Hopital and I was told "um no, we don't do that". That doesn't make any sense. It's all about $$$
