Dave at North Shore Scooter Repairs was fantastic to work with. My Vespa had been sitting for almost 2 years and I couldn’t get it running. Another mechanic even told me it might need a whole new engine, which thankfully turned out not to be true. Dave was quick, responsive, honest, and very reasonably priced. I purchased a used 2011 Kymco with low miles that had sat in a garage for years, it ran okay for a few months but soon died and wouldn’t start. I called Dave and he said to drop it off right away. Within hours of our conversation, he diagnosed the problem as low compression due to blown seals. Dave tuned and adjusted everything and put in a big bore kit. We came to Dave with a beat up 1989 Suzuki FA50 after looking around for any shop in the Boston area that would repair old scooters. Dave approached the project with a ton of enthusiasm and care. He understood the sentimental and nostalgic value and did his best to restore the scooter to its former glory. I NEED to make this right!! I had posted a bad review, I had brought my bije to Dave to get it fixed & truth be told, tbe bike had seen better days, I think my hopes/expectations were very high, the FACT is NOBODY KNOWS THESE CHINESE SCOOTERS BETTER THAN DAVE!!, NOBODY!!Salem used to have "the scooter doctor l" Dave in Gloucester would be better known & should have tbe title of "THE SCOOTER SURGEON" seriously, he can diagnose the problem sometimes just with an accurate description of the problem, myself, I had a video ch... read more

Dave helped me out when I was working on my moped. A pleasure to deal with and very forthcoming with advice, even though I was not a paying client. A friend who I referred later had an excellent experience having Dave fix his moped and now it's faster than mine. Almost took a star off for that. Joking, but I'm sure if I bring mine to Dave he'll have me back up to speed! Will happily continue to reccomend North Shore Scooter repair.
