I purchased a used 2011 Kymco with low miles that had sat in a garage for years, it ran okay for a few months but soon died and wouldn’t start. I called Dave and he said to drop it off right away. Within hours of our conversation, he diagnosed the problem as low compression due to blown seals. Dave tuned and adjusted everything and put in a big bore kit. Dave helped me out when I was working on my moped. A pleasure to deal with and very forthcoming with advice, even though I was not a paying client. A friend who I referred later had an excellent experience having Dave fix his moped and now it's faster than mine. Almost took a star off for that. Joking, but I'm sure if I bring mine to Dave he'll have me back up to speed! Will happily continue to reccomend North Shore Scooter repair.
We came to Dave with a beat up 1989 Suzuki FA50 after looking around for any shop in the Boston area that would repair old scooters. Dave approached the project with a ton of enthusiasm and care. He understood the sentimental and nostalgic value and did his best to restore the scooter to its former glory. Dave has helped us with getting two different scooters up and running and the continued maintenance. He has been great to work with will continue going back for assistance!
Dave did a great job repairing my Vespa that had broken down while at a storage facility. He met me on site with all of the needed parts to get it up and running perfectly. Great follow up on messages and meeting times. Will definitely be using Dave for all maintenance and repair going forward!
