For 8 months, I have waited for something to be done about my thyroid / parathyroid issues. I had a visit w/ Dr.Patel Dec.19,2023. The next appt was for June 18,2024. (6 mos. later). I called to verify appt, the day before to learn it had been cancelled. No one knew why or who, so they set up a telemed visit for June21st. This post is on behalf of a family member who needed a STAT referral to this office and was told there were NO APPOINTMENTS until October. I advised her to call back and let them know it was a STAT referral and the front desk receptionist was very rude and disrespectful. She told my family member "Even if it had come through as a STAT referral we would have denied it because our first appointment isn't until October." If I could, do not give it a star 🌟 if you look for endocrine for your sake, read until the end. I spent several months waiting for an appointment with Dr. Patel, when I entered the consultation even though his attitude was kind, with only 1 laboratory exam in hand he told me that it only remained to wait 2 years taking metimazhole and if my values did not improve then I would have to kill my thyroid with radiation. I've always had good experiences with Dr. Patel. HOWEVER, the website and portal are absolutely horrible. I've been trying to send a message and nothing is working. I tried the "contact me" area on the website but I get an error. In desperation, I tried the "make an appt" area - still got an error. The portal is useless because it doesn't even allow me to send a message. Also, I can't leave a voicemail on the office number. How else are people who work NIGHT SHIFT supposed to leave a message for anyone??? All I want is an it... read more
Love my doctor. Hate his office. Admin is awful. Wait times are unacceptably long (1-1/2 hours). Staff attitude is ok, but they are hampered by a terrible corporate system. I have been with this practice for years and my last interaction was so bad I will likely find a new provider.
