After injuring my neck, and having difficulty locating a Baton Rouge area doctor for my injury, I looked into doctors within the North Oaks system. The insurance company bounced me around while trying to have me see Othopedic Surgeons when what I needed was a Nuerosurgeon. After doing my own research, I found Dr. Burkhardt. Not a visit to the clinic just not pleased with treatment while daughter was in hospital. Doctor never could give a definite time to do surgery on a ventricular shunt replacement. In hospital for nine days and the surgery kept getting pushed back. Finally I took her out of hospital and will be going to a neurosurgeon in Baton Rouge or New Orleans
Doctor was on time. Wait was minimal.
I am so glad that I went to Dr. Lon Alexander for neurology for my back. He explains and tells you exactly what he will do in a way anyone can understand. He gets to know you and makes the visits personal. You deal directly with him and only see his P.A. when he is not available at the moment and that is not very often with his visits. The only thing I don't like is the switch board usage they now use throughout the medical facilities.
