Currently 4 hours and counting in the waiting room and it's been an hour since anyone came out the back and called someone else in. I would not recommend if you are in pain or bleeding (2'" deep gash in my leg). I could have driven to St. Tammany, been seen, released, got dinner and made it home in less time.
This is a horrible excuse for an emergency department. I’m here for my second trip with my parents. First my mom had fallen and broke her hip. They had no room available for her. Now I’m here with my dad suffering with severe stomach pain thinking it may be a hernia. Again no room available. I just can’t understand how this place hasn’t been shut down. Their first priority is making sure they’re going to get paid. I recommend St.Tammany. They’re amazing.
I went in there for my broken knee and I waited for 4 hours outside by the doors! They did not see me or put me in a room and I’m sitting on a hard wheelchair for 4 hours in pain! No ice no nothing! I left because they refused to see me, well if they didn’t care then why should I? I left and went to St. Tammany hospital ER and they took me in 15 mins after waiting. Gave me ice and knee braces and crutches! Such a great experience and nice feeling!! After a week now North oaks is asking me to pay $640 for just taking my blood... read more
I was hurt, they fixed me. Wish they had been faster, but I was hurt and fast would have been five minutes before I got there. No complaints.
