Poor communication. In initial scheduling we reviewed total potential costs and that it would not be over the 20% quoted, including nitrous (which they said was standard to be covered) unless there was an unexpected issue. Everything went fine, however, insurance declined the nitrous. When I called to ask, I spoke with 2 people who both insisted they would not have told me this. I suggested they could communicate better and let patients know that the nitrous often isn't covered (& give a choice to use or not), but she insist... read more
