You have a very nasty racists employee spewing hate on a Facebook group. If I was to come to Hawaii from the “mainland” as they call it and got injured or one of my family members got hurt I would not come to this hospital in fear that we wouldn’t get the proper respect or medical treatment because said employee doesn’t want anyone who wasn’t born there on HER ISLAND

Staff is friendly and helpful. Remember to go at odd times to ER if you can otherwise wait can be quite long. Hopefully new wing will alleviate that issue.
The only place i trust to get surgeries. I dont mind the drive from Kona to go here. The staff is great and the presentation of the hospital is great as well.
In the year 2000 a sweet baby was born in the family birthing unit, two days later was adopted by a lovely couple from the mainland, we met and have stayed in contact since. This weekend he graduates from high school AND with an associate degree from the local junior college. It has been such a joy to watch this very intelligent island child live his inherent sense of aloha and will now share it with the world.
Fifteen years ago, my son, Bradford Cameron Ordell, was declared dead four days after he was admitted to the North Hawaii Community Hospital. Unlike any "typical" hospital, I was simply amazed at the high degree of compassion that the staff of North Hawaii Community Hospital showered upon my son, my family, and Brad's many friends!
