Dr. Hoffman indicated she would not do dental surgery on my pet unless an unrelated procedure were first done at the University of Florida. She advised UF (wow) to not do dental surgery without first doing the unrelated procedure. At this writing my dog is post surgery 3 weeks from UF without a hitch and without having to get the unrelated procedure done first. Her assistant told me that most likely my dog has fluid in the lungs because I had been administering liquids through a syringe. They deserve each other.
I live over 2 hours away from this office and I called to get some information before I made an appointment and drove the 2.5 hours with my cat. Dr. Hoffman was extremely rude and short with me over the phone. She refused to speak with me and kept repeating herself/interrupting me stating that I would have to pay a $150 consultation fee before she could speak with me further or even just give me an idea/rough ballpark range of the potential cost of a full mouth extraction for my cat. I'm going to be completely honest and thorough in this as much as possible. I brought my 10 year old dog to dr. Hoffman to evaluate some issues that my regular vet brought to me during a dental cleaning. She immediately seems skeptical of what my vet told me and recommended and x-ray and possible procedures.
