Dr. Mayer glued a laceration on my daughter's head, then proceeded to put an asterisk of steri-strips across it without even waiting for the glue to completely dry. Two weeks later when the steri-strips I couldn't see under finally came off, it looks as though I may as well have put a band-aid on her rather than rushing her here for the medical care I thought I'd receive. Her laceration is still slightly open and she will now have a decent sized scar. I will never EVER go back to this urgent care again.
Drs. Lai, Levcovitz, and Mayer are quality physicians. As a pharmacist, I am well aware of the need to provide patients with professional, quality information in a timely manner. Several of my family members have gone to North Central Urgent Care for a variety of ailments. While it is true that the doctors are not infallible (no doctor is), I believe this Urgent Care facility offers a legitimate option for those seeking high-quality health care.
Dr. Yvonne Lai is wonderful! I went to North Central Urgent Care on recommendation from friends. I have to say the staff was great. The doctor demonstrated care and professionalism. I had seen two physicians at other facilities and neither could properly diagnose why I was in so much pain. Thank you, Dr. Lai. I am now pain-free!
PHYSICIANS are first-rate! I have been treated at North Central for afflictions ranging from a broken arm to a rare virus affecting joints and the doctors and staff have been great. The doctors, Mayer, Lai, and Levcovitz were attentive to my needs and good listeners. They seem like they truly cared about my health and it showed in their diagnoses and treatment plans.
IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE DON'T GO HERE!!!! – Dr Yvonne Y Lai is a crappy doctor and North Central Urgent Care sucks and are lairs. Stay away from this place this Doctor should not practicing if she can not do a true assessment and the Manager can not document a complaint on this crappy Dr. I am a nurse and if I did the assessment Dr. Lai did my patients would get worse. Doctors and Staff saved a LIFE! – Thorough, professional, detailed, caring, and efficient are all understatements for this medical facility. Triage care is the purpose of Urgent Care facilities ~ they understand this without question. Were it not for this facilities abilities noted above in September of 2009 my mothers' Cancer diagnosis would have been detrimentally delayed. In defense of doctor – I have not actually visited the clinic but came across the bad review by someone. I am in the medical profession and in defense of the doctor, it sounds like the reviewer was just looking for drugs. It is always a big red flag when a patient asks for specific drugs especially when they are controlled substances (narcotic cough syrup). Also, most patients (except those who are working the system to get drugs) do not even know what a DEA number is (It is a number given to doctors and must be included on ... read more
Excellent Help for Variety of Issues ! – We've been to this facility over the past several years for a variety of problems- infected foot, flu symptoms and we couldn't see our doctor for 2-3 days, irrigating ears and bronchitis. It is so convenient when our doctor is booked or we need something right away! We love Dr. L ! He got our sick daughter through one of the toughest weeks of her high school career! This is a wonderful option instead of the emergency room and we're lucky to have such good help so close! Thank-you!
Horrible Doctor – This was the WORST doctor I have ever seen in my life. I had to wait over 2 hours (total time there)when there was only 1 person ahead of me. I had a fever and they confirmed I had the flu via a swab test. Then the doctor prescribed me tamiflu and mucinex. and nothing else! I am sitting at home miserable because the doctor would not prescribe me anything to help ease the aches and pains and the HORRIBLE cough. I dunno if he is about to loose his DEA license or what.
