My first marriage counselor was very good, but moved away. We returned a year later and were assigned a counselor in training who often commented on the future state of the marriage if we didn’t do xyz thing she advised. The last time we went, we both felt more bleak about the future than we did going in and we mutually agreed not to return to her. Our marriage counselor has been nothing but outstanding as we built a stronger monogamous bond. She both suggested resources, and encouraged each of us to challenge our old beliefs. She listened to our stories with compassion, and celebrates with us our success. Thank you Alyssa!!!

We got therapy here, individually, but they wouldn't see us together because of the violence in the relationship. And they, or she, convinved herself I was abusive. Never laid a hand on her. Had to cover my bruises when I went to work a few t... read more
