I've been a patient of Dr. Nordgaarden's since I got my first pair of reading glasses more than 25 years ago. He is a consummate professional: very knowledgeable, thorough, and generous with his time. He's also an excellent teacher, which entails not only knowing a lot but also being able to put oneself in the shoes of someone who doesn't know nearly as much as you do.
