I received an email from Julie Baril, Quality Control Manager, in February 2024 about the mortgage firm encountering an underwriting issue that led to my loan being at risk of being canceled. After several emails back and forth regarding my employment, I eventually received an email proposing a no-cost refinance to help alleviate the initial concerns. Despite my reservations, I proceeded to complete a refiance application, as directed by Colleen Fazzino, VP of Production at Norcom Mortgage, during a phone call received on Ma... read more

I was working with Katie S on a home loan. I sent her every piece of documentation she asked for. I was pre approved for a loan and moved forward to the next step. I explained early on in the process that I had an 11 month gap in my work history and she stated it was not a problem. During the first initial process there was lots of communication. Because I am a Veteran we are using my VA loan, the first time home buyers program. I had a VA home inspection done, found homeowners insurance, and continued to send Katie more pap... read more

Norcom allowed me to take the Covid19 relief deferment. a month before my deferment was to end I called and they were unable to tell me what would happen when my deferment ended and I need to wait to hear from Loss Mitigation. I called several times a month for over SIX months and they weren't able to tell me. I received a random letter in the mail today with a modification agreement. my Modified loan amount went up by over $3000 and so did my monthly payments. I called loss mitigation and they were unable to explain. I aske... read more

Business response:

Norcom values its customers and appreciates the difficulties posed by the pandemic. Norcom is researching the customer's complaint with the sub-servicer and expects to be able to submit a substantive response on or about April 9, 2021.

Absolute garbage for loan servicing. It was in my contract to have escrow taken out for taxes, that never happened. I called them months ahead of the due date to tell them this and got a "this will be taken care of." Never was but can't hold them accountable to anything because they have no records of you calling ever and have no ticking or reference numbers to give you when you ask. Ended up paying taxes last minute myself. Fast forward a month, still not taken care of and I receive a bill from my insurance that was never t... read more

Norcom Mortgage thanks Mr. ******** for his comment and expressing his concerns over the servicing of his loan. Mr. ********’s loan is serviced by a different company and not directly by Norcom Mortgage. Mr. ******** never contacted Norcom but the servicer has acknowledged that its records show that Mr. ******** contacted them several times beginning in mid-June 2020 regarding unpaid taxes and the removal of the escrow altogether. The servicer has denied the request to remove the escrow based on the fact that Mr. ********’s ... read more

I just wanted to commend this company! Anita, a branch sales manager is amazing! My husband and I are empty-nesters and buying our dream home! Anita and Norcom have made this process so easy to do. Mortgage Lender, A.V. was extremely helpful in assisting with obtaining a house loan, unfortunately Norcom is cutthroat , they will sell your loan.

Business response:

Thank you for your positive comment about Norcom Mortgage and the loan officer you worked with. Norcom is pleased that you had a positive experience. Norcom understands that it may seem strange that your loan was sold after it closed with Norcom. However, the selling of loans and/or transferring of loan servicing is commonplace in the industry and is not a reflection on you. In fact, Norcom would be happy to work with you (as well as other borrowers whose loans were closed and then sold) in the future. Additionally, the fact... read more

My wife and I got our home financing through Colleen F****** at Norcom Mortgage. She was incredibly professional, helpful, and knowledgable. As first time home buyers, she explained every step of the process in a way that was easy to understand. I would highly recommend Norcom Mortgage and Colleen F******.

I used Norcom as my servicer when opening my loan. Shortly after opening my account I was transferred to a new servicer. Not only did Norcom fail to enter data properly multiple times during the underwriting process, they never forwarded my first mortgage payment. I made a payment before being transferred to my new servicer. I had called them and verified it would be forwarded. Today I look at my account at my new servicer and see my payment was never applied and they never received a payment. This payment SHOULD have been s... read more

Business response:

Based on Norcom’s records, your loan closed on December 22, 2016 with a first payment due on February 1, 2017. On January 1, 2017, the loan was sold to another entity. In connection with this sale, a notice that the loan had been sold and that the purchasing entity would be servicing the loan was sent. A similar notice was sent to the insurance company. In addition, as part of the transfer of the loan, Norcom sent all necessary and required paperwork, including insurance information, to the purchasing entity, which the purch... read more
