RecommendedI just had my mammogram at NorCal Imaging and the technician couldn’t have been more gentle. The whole time was quick and painless.
Staff is friendly and professional, but the process and structure is lousy. I was told to drink a ton of water and not to urinate prior to coming in for an ultra sound scheduled for 11:30 am. I arrived at the facility at 11:20 am and painfully needing to urinate sat in the lobby until 12:10 pm before being called in which is an awful situation to leave anybody in. First of all, at time of appt made the girl said someone would call me two days ahead to give me directions, and anything special for MRI!!! Never got a call so yesterday (7-14-20) I called to make sure I had correct date, after calling 4-5 times someone finally answered phone, confirming appt and instructions about my eating nothing 4 hours before. Polite expedient service. Informative staff.
The wait times are horrendous. The office staff is extremely incompetent. They gave me the runaround for over a week about a completely unnecessary prior authorization that I actually did NOT need from my insurance. They refused to schedule me without aforementioned pre-auth (and stated it was their policy). I have excellent insurance and I also work as an ICU Nurse and I'm IN PAIN! The Hispanic receptionist showed no professional care in trying to help resolve my concern or made any initiative to go the extra mike to resolve a problem which was essential on their end ...faxes had to be resent . The Rad Tech was great !
During this time of social distancing the the receptionists and tech were polite, professional and kept the patients in the waiting room at safe distances. I was very satisfied with the help and services received there.
Can have everything done there: mammogram, ex-ray, ultra sound...and more.
