Starter Locs. Found Nonye’s African Hair Braiding Salon through Google search. First time calling/speaking with Nonye, I knew it would be nothing less than a great experience as she was sweet, kind, and really easy to talk to. Came in very next day for what I thought would be a quick length check and scheduling for another day, but she was able get started on my hair right then and there. So grateful. I had a great experience at Nonye African Hair Braiding in Merrillville, Indiana. I was able to get a same-day appointment, and when I arrived, I got straight into the chair with no wait. One of Ms. Nonye’s braiders started right away and did a great job. I just got straight-back braids so I could wear my wigs and head wraps, and she was fast—done in just a little over 90 minutes!
