Negative stars for Dr Okamura if I could. She psychologically slimed me. After writing a letter to their quality control department, I had tears in my eyes as I realized she had been gaslighting and invalidating me and my medical needs. I switched to the women’s center,and so happy that I did. Dr Okamura told me I had big, black hairs in my ears. It was the hair from my hairstyle --not inside my ears. I genuinely do not understand the low reviews for Okamura. I have been seeing her for 7 years. She listens to my concerns and offers solutions/treatments that work for me. She has made time in her limited schedule to help me via zoom to fill out forms needed for my FMLA in a time crunch. She got me seen same day through telehealth. She has gone above and beyond and always made me feel comfortable and confident in my health. I think people forget what primary care doctors do. Rude, cold, arrogant, incompetent describes best Noeru Okamura. Look how many one star reviews she has received that give the same critique. She is belittling and makes the patient feel like dirt, or “psychologically slimed” as another patient here has written. If you have pain or another symptom she looks at you like you are crazy and puts you down and tells you are wrong… literally tells you the opposite of what you know for your own body. Dr. Okamura paid a great deal of attention to medical history, symptoms, reason for my visit. I felt very comfortable that she listened and provided sound options going forward. I trust her with my care.
This doctor was my primary doctor. I went to visit this doctor twice. My visit with this doctor on August 12th at 1345, was the worst appointment that I've had in my life. I made this appointment after suffering for over 2 months in pain. Pain was so bad that ibuprofen was not working.
