Dr. Chia was my PCP and family doctor for many years and help treated my family for nearly 20 years. He is very understanding, respectful, patient, kindhearted, and will listen and pay attention to any concerns. He's very caring with his patients and remembers each patient. I am very sad to see he's no longer practicing in WA but I am so happy for his new chapter in life, he deserves it! Thank you Dr. Chia for setting an example of what being a healthcare leader looks like, it has and will always be an inspiration to everyon... read more
As far as helping me with any medical issues and diagnoses, I have not had any issues. I am comfortable having Dr. Chia treat me. There was 1 big issue though, I was accused of pharmacy scripting all over the US for all kinds of drugs, I don't even know what they were. It was like 5 pages long. Then, after berating me, they realized that they pulled up information from multiple patients. Dr. Chia apologized and I accept it and even went back. But, I just don't want to see again.
Dr. Chia is an outstanding doctor. My daughter is a doctor; I hope she will be as good as Dr. Chia, with his expert and professional cares provided to his patients.
A very thorough sympathetic physician.
The doctor is very nice, but unfortunately we had 3 wrong diagnosis in our family of 4, two of which were missed cancers. We had to switch to a different provider.
Dr. Chia is the worst primary care physician I have ever experienced in my life. He is not only clinically incompetent but he refused me diagnostic tests for medical condition I visited his office over the course of a year. I finally switched to Swedish Healthcare and was diagnosed with abdominal sarcoma within a few hours of my office visit there. Since my surgery I came across multiple people who had similar experience with him. He is a great listener and a smooth talker but clinically BAD.
Intelligent, calm, was straightforward with me regarding my less-than-stellar personal health habits. I like how he does his job.
I have had Dr Chia as my PCP for over a decade. I have always felt that I could discuss anything with him and that he would provide me with an appropriate diagnoses or recommendation.
At my first appointment with Dr. Chia he was condescending and angry. I had asked his office for blood tests before seeing him, once there he kept waving them around saying who ordered these, they are useless! He then treated me like I was an errant child in the principal's office. After all that he made mistakes on my medication prescriptions. It took numerous phone calls to get them straightened out. I would call, and then it would take over 24 hours for me to receive an answer.
