Excellent Shrimp and Grits, would eat forever.
What a great find. Just visiting Salem from Seattle and grabbed brunch before heading home. Great diner vibe with a New Orleans twist. Shrimp and grits with a butter and herb sauce was excellent. Bread pudding waffles was a first for me and incredible. The jam sauce was the winner for toppings. Friendly staff who are proud of their food.
On a long road trip to California and back from Seattle, and this is one of the best places we ate in a week of dining. Excellent hot chicken sandwich, po' boy, and the beignets were perfect. Cute atmosphere as well, and right in the middle of a beautiful and walkable part of Salem. Absolutely worth the stop. Wish we lived closer!
The gumbo was very good. Great flavor and just the right amount of spice.
