No Name Bar may be a Marin landmark, hence the lack of a need for an actual name, but it is not because of the decor or ambiance. What sets it apart is the live jazz, usually Dixieland, that plays without a cover until 1a. Would love to frequent this place if I were in the area more often. I'll have to go back. Very friendly, one on one "regulars" type of bar.
A great mix of locals and tourists. I bring my Chicago visitors and they love it. The locals are extremely helpful to tourists, from toasting newlyweds to hosting Muir woods and mt tam hikes.
