Came Tuesday afternoon 3/18/25. Great first experience here. Live about 15 min walk from here and stopped by out of blue to do some work. Dug the ambience and vibe. Went through back, but included shots of front. There is parking validation inside and street parking(just be mindful of signs and residence). Music selection was popping. Honestly, was very disappointed. The selection of coffee is small and there was nothing spectacular about their flavors. The emphasis seems more on merch than coffee, the merch is very cute though. They only had two pastries to choose from so that was disappointing as well. The vibe inside was not cozy, but the barista was nice.
This is truly a gem of a coffeeshop that values the coffee as #1 without skimping on the atmosphere. It's one of my favorite places to work because the music is always a VIBE, and Mario does an incredible job of tending to whatever cup you order. My go-to is a flat white, but if I'm feeling fancy -- the Grapefruit Tootsie is the best coffee soda I've ever had (and I don't usually like them because they're too bitter). You can also never go wrong with a Hakeem the Dream -- I find it particular good iced on a hot day!
I want to love this place! I have been there three or four times now over the course of 6 months and have to say that there’s room for improvement. The good: the service, the vibe, the location, minority owned. The bad: they are always out of the majority of their menu, do not order online as their menu is not up-to-date and you will probably order something that they do not have, the prices are pretty high with their drinks costing almost $10 (including taxes).
