Dr. Shah is by far one of my favorite doctors. He is both very personable and skilled from his training. In fact, Dr. Shah trained with the retinal specialist in Teaneck, NJ that repaired my horseshoe retina tear (no detachment) about 20 years ago. Suffice to say that one of my great regrets of moving from NJ to Delaware is giving up seeing Dr. Shah and the great staff at NJ Retina. You'll be in very good hands if you become his patient.
What you're reading from everyone on the negative reviews is extremely true. I think the ones leaving the positive reviews should be spending less time here, and more time with their therapists or at a neurologist. You should expect this visit to be an all day affair. The staff is cold and operate as if attendants moving cattle through the slaughterhouse. They have the audacity to ask you to arrive 15 minutes early just to have you wait around for 45 minutes. Dr. Sumit P. Shah is an exceptional retina specialist! From the moment I walked into his clinic, I felt at ease. He takes the time to explain complex medical terms in a way that’s easy to understand, ensuring I felt confident about my dad treatment plan. His professionalism, expertise, and genuine care for his patients are unmatched. The staff is equally courteous and efficient, making the entire experience seamless. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone seeking specialized retina care.
Call them for medical records, never able to get through. Called 5 times in the past week, left messages and today called 5 times a day. Not sure they have portal notice for patience test result or email notification. No way to file suggestions on their website either. Nice doctors and staffs though. The process needs to be improved and go digital. I am not sure the 5 stars are real. Unless someone called me back otherwise will let my message stay here.
Dr. Eric Friedman has been treating me for a few years. I am very satisfied and recommend him wholeheartedly.
