I have a contract with NJ Home Services. I paid a decent sum of money for that contract and yet when I call in early October to make an appt. for my annual heating check, per the contract. I can't get an appt./no appts available. They can take my money but not provide the service. That does not seem right., I didn't pay to be put on a waiting list to wait for a call that may or may not happen.

12/24 am our heater stopped working. After enduring automated messages, a rep. told us no one would be here until tomorrow between 8 and 4. We are over 70, my husband is recovering from surgery. It made no difference, no effort to help was offered. We have a contract which is useless. We called another company that came out within the hour. It was worth paying out of pocket not to freeze in our home. NJR should reimburse us for the expense.

A service contract on my heating my heating and cooling systems was probably the moat worthwhile purchase I made all year. The service is prompt and the technicians who have been to my home have been knowledgeable.

Stay away. Called for service on a 4 year old AC unit they sold me an installed that cost over 8K. Gave a estimated service time three weeks out and said they wouldn't honor any mfg. warranty. That was up to me to call the mfg. to get the part under warranty. They only warranty for 1 year. Give your business to a local. These people are terrible.

I am 70years old and have a lung disease .During a heat wave our AC went out.. They told us we had to wait 2 weeks for service!!! That's outrageous!! We'vebeen paying for this service for years, without actually using it. Now that we have an emergency, they need 2 weeks? They need to hire more technicians!
