I am 47 & have already had 9 back surgeries (out of my 21 major surgeries to date), so I know a great Doc versus a money grabber or assembly line surgeon.I was referred to Dr. Andalkar by my Pain Dr., and I am so pleased he did (even though I had to drive from Peoria to Mesa). Dr. Andalkar was honest and forthright and had clearly looked at and retained my extensive chart information and has familiarized himself with my significant medical history prior to walking in the room (which maybe 5 percent of all Doctors I have EVER... read more

Disappointing. Staff was very friendly, got an appointment promptly, waited for over 40 minutes to get his opinion. He had no solutions, no 2nd opinion references, still hasn't given his opinion to my primary care physician 2 weeks after appointment. He was abrupt and dismissive.

Absolutely superb Dr. Professional, compassionate, thorough and honest! I continue to be grateful for his expertise and for correcting my neck issues.

He explained and showed what needed surgery. He came to the patient and operated for hours. The family of Colleen will be forever grateful.

He is unsure about my condition so instead of jumping in and doing exploratory surgery, he is waiting for a month to see if things have changed. He explains the situation very well. He did neck surgery on me a year ago and that changed my life. I have full confidence he will take care of my sciatica and lower spine problems.

Yes, I have already recommended this doctor to others. He knew right away what to do to help me with my problems.

Not right for me; tardy without explanation; abrupt and dismissive.

Dr. Andalkar realized that without surgery I would have no quality of life. I was very high risk due to a clotting disorder but we bluntly discussed the risk-vs-reward. His skill level was incredible as I had a dual level laminectomy in March of 2019 and he was able to do it without screws or metal being used. He was honest about the post surgery pain level and recovery time frames. I have 9 other bulging discs as well as other other spinal issues but if I ever need another surgery - this man is doing it! Thanks Doc!
