I only gave one star because in order to post a review at least one star has to be given. Poor communication and customer service. I have given this shop multiple "correct your service" opportunities. Today I am back in the shop for a "botched"sew in repair/replace/do over and the staff present insist on speaking rudely between each other (hello! There is an APP that translates on voice! First time ever goin to the shop and i was very pleased with the work the young lady done. The manager was very very nice and understanding my frustration from a different shop. I would recommend anyone looking to get their hair dne to come to FATOU AFRICAN HAIR BRAIDING. I had a wonderful time in the shop the young lady didnt pull my hair too tight or anything i was very satisfied wen i left....THANK YOU LADYS AGAIN
8am appointment by 9am hair still not started. Came at 740am 810am had two braids that were wrong. To small and to short. Then wanted me to wait longer for another lady to try. I will pass on ever going back
Just got my hair done today and I was very impressed with the time and price. My braiders stuck to what they were doing and didn't break they just worked. It took a little over four hours
This was the second time I have been to Fatou to get my hair braided but I enjoy it. Fatou and all the ladies did a great job and they made sure I was okay because I have a really bad back. You walk in there to get your hair braided and you walk out with new friends. The ladies who did my hair and also Fatou made sure there was nothing wrong and have really helped me out. My first impression of the salon was pleasant. Fatou, the owner is a extremely passionate women and enforces her standard. The women working there are very talented. Watching them create hairstyles had me wanting to change up my bland style. I am excited about my next experience there. Great atmosphere, great stylists, and great results!
I have been getting my hair done at this shop for 6 years , I have never walked out of there less than pleased . Like every business they change workers how ever u always walk out of there with a professional job . Horrible, horrible service! These people are so unprofessional and rude. Two staff members worked on my twist each pulling violently in opposite directions until I couldn't take the pain any longer. When I explain my discomfort and requested that only one of them work on my hair at a time, one women stomped away angrily speaking in her native tongue. I was Leary to make an appt after seeing all the negative post. I went with my intuition and made an appt arrived at the shop about 845 for a 900am appt. Fatou had assigned 3 braiders to do my hair. They were very nice and polite. I was pleased with the service and my hair. This was my first time getting braids. I will be patronizing this business in the future as well as making referrals. Don't believe the negative post Great Job!!!!!
