Extremely good, local service After my local repair shop lost it's best auto-mechanic, I had to look around. A friend suggested Nishakawa. I've taken both of my cars on numerous occasions and they have done excellent work. It's a small shop, but they've been prompt, curteous, and even saved me money! Nishakawa has on two occasions pointed out repairs that did not require extensive work where I'm sure an auto dealer would have hit me with the "full load" job. The only place I take my car! No sticker shock! I made an appointment the same day. The invoice is reasonable and you always understand what you are paying for. Everyone is very friendly and honest. Before I decided to purchase a new car I stopped by to ask their opinion.
Most definitely going back I took my car to Nishikawa based on the helpful reviews found here (thanks, everyone!) and I wasn't disappointed. Even though I ended up taking my car to the dealer (the car's computer had to be replaced), Joe explained everything (what he did to find the problem, what the problem is, and the solution) clearly. Honest, reliable, thorough, personable mechanic My husband and I have been bringing our cars for 13 years to Nishikawa and we keep recommending him to all our friends. Honest Mechanic with Great Service Joe and his Son are truly delivering World Class service. Have been using them for almost 10 years and can't imagine taking my car to anyone else (even after I moved to Sherman Oaks). My parents, wife and whole family use them. Can't say more than that.
Glad that we found this shop Joe and his team have been taking care of my family's 4 cars for last 4 years. They are the most honest, technical, reliable, and reasonable auto mechanics we had in a very long time. Their diagnosis has always been correct so far and they have given me good recommendations.
Believe what you read These guys are the real deal: good mechanics, extremely honest, friendly. They explain everything in a way that makes sense to the non-mechanically-inclined. They take on work at a moment's notice and will go out of their way NOT to charge you an arm and a leg. Recommend them to your friends. And patronize them, yourselves. Businesses like these deserve to succeed!
I have used this shop about 5 times and found friendly, quality, reasonable rate services each time. They have taken me on same day service but like to have a one day notice. I didn't rate world class because it is just a small shop.
An honest mechanic The first time I took my car here, there was some obscure electrical problem. He worked on it for a week, but couldn't find the problem. That may sound bad, but after all the hours he spent, he didn't charge me a thing. That kind of honesty is hard to find. The second time he did a brake job on my car, and not only did he take my car in with no advance notice on a really busy day, but had it ready just a few hours later, and the fee was less than half what the dealer would have charged.
