Since January 2024, Dr. Patel performed 2 cataract surgeries, both with excellent results and 20-20 vision. Both were performed at Fairfax Surgery Center. Recently I had a bilateral upper blepharoplasty (eyelid repair) to remove excess skin. Dr. Patel performed the surgery with skill. I have been a patient of Dr. Patel for many years. Recently she performed two cataract surgeries for me. During the first procedure, she discovered that I had a unique condition that required special care. Dr. Patel handled the situation perfectly. She was ready for the situation on the second procedure, and took measures to alleviate the condition. I highly recommend Dr. Patel to anyone needed eye care. She is a pleasure to visit in either of her two offices.
Dr. Patel is truly outstanding! She and her staff are highly experienced, professional, compassionate, friendly, accessible, and responsive. Dr. Patel is absolutely the best in her field, to which I can attest honestly from years of superb diabetes eyecare, as well as recently and perfectly performed cataract surgeries. Dr. Patel did an outstanding job on my recent cataract surgeries. I could not believe the difference in my vision. Not only do I now have 20/20 vision in one eye and 20/15 in the other, but everything is so much sharper and more colorful. Dr. Patel is a great doctor and skilled surgeon. I appreciate all of her efforts to provide this glorious vision.
Dr. Patel is the WORST doctor I've ever interacted with...I went there for an appt at 12:15 and wasn't seen by the doctor until 1:30...and she RUSHED. Ma'am, why did you overbook if you can't handle your patient load...? There was barely an apology from the doctor (her staff was fine as they were apologetic). THEN, she was doing a scan of one of my eyes and told me to look at a light on a side that was NOT there (because she hadn't adjusted her machine to show me the light for that eye). I scheduled an appointment to see the doctor at 10:30AM. I was quickly taken back for some initial testing and questioning by an assistant where I was told that the doctor was not yet in the office. This was no big deal at first, people sometimes run behind. After 11 I asked when the doctor would be coming in to which the front desk employee told me she would let her know that I had been there for over half an hour. Dr. Patel was recommended to me by a friend. Have been her patient for several years now. She is very professional but also very compassionate and friendly. I had cataract surgery and eyelids lifted. Very pleased with both surgeries. Very nice office and easy to find both locations.

For those of you that are reluctant, let me tell you about my experience with Dr. Nisha R. Patel. I was having trouble getting glasses that would make my job enjoyable again. I am an engineer and do a lot of computer and hands on work) and no mater what the prescription, I could not see without positioning my head just right for a clear view, and inevitably, the glasses would move and I would have to start over.
