I’m very disappointed with the customer service I received from NIPSCO. I recently used their online chat feature to get clarification on my bill, and while I was in the middle of typing a response, the representative abruptly disconnected the chat. I then took the time to fill out a form on their website to report the issue, only to receive a reply that lacked any acknowledgment or apology for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, this serviceman has been sitting outside our house for the last hour unable to begin his job. A few days ago we lost half our power in our home due to one leg of our main power line being out. The serviceman informed us that due to safety reasons and procedural regulations, he cannot begin his work until he gets at least one other person out here for backup.
