Second to my grandmother's cooking! – On my second visit to Nino's, I asked the waitress to send over the manager. She asked if something was wrong, but I insisted to speak with him. When he came to my table, I asked him where my mother was hiding. He was puzzled. I accused him of making her work in his kitchen to make her spaghetti sauce! I stopped in for lunch between appointments. I wanted to try several items, but settled on the Calimari. OUTSTANDING!!! Cooked perfectly. I try it any where I see it, and this was the best so far. Good work.
Ridiculous prices, average food – If it wasn't for the friends and family of the owner writing all of these over-the-top raving reviews, they probably wouldn't have any whatsoever. Most people won't spend a minute of spare time writing a review about such a mediocre strip-mall joint. My last visit there, and I mean LAST, was blessed with the same inept service, horrendously over-priced dishes and dreary atmosphere I'd experienced the previous two times. Great West Side Italian – As an Italian I am very picky about my Italian food, and for a long time I would refuse to eat Italian food on the West Side (like Bovalinos (sp?) in Westlake, some of the nastiest food ever. taxman25 – If there's a better small Italian restaurant I want to go there, but I doubt that one exists. This place is THE best. Everything is made when ordered - not sitting in pots all day like some mass production restaurantsd do. Best food around - try the "Fantasea" if you like seafood...WOW!! HUGE portions, reasonable prices, very friendly staff - what more could you ask for? This is a "cash only, no reservations taken" restaurant, but if you have to wait for a table, do so at all cost!
Great food! – If you're looking for good home cooked Italian Food. Nino's is the place. Everything is fresh. It is guarenteed to NEVER go home hungry. It may be a little on the pricey side, but it's worth it. I don't go to any other Italian Resteraunt.
Eat out! – Great selection. Very nice staff. My wife and I love this place.
