This doctor has given me so much trauma it’s unreal. The first apt ever she would interrupt me and tell me that my history of sprained wrists and ankles is irrelevant and dismiss me, when I told her about my Behçet’s disease diagnosis she said she didn’t believe it bc it’s rare and it’s probably an STD , and then she bent my legs without warning causing me to flare. I really like Dr. Nikita Patel! She did her fellowship with my doctor at USC, and he says she was his favorite fellow. She listens, is calm, isn't defensive, is thorough with her questions and examinations and appears to have good instincts. Her staff are nice too. I'm happy with her!
Dr Nikita Patel is professional, thorough, and most importantly to me, curious and concerned for her patients. She ordered more thorough testing than any rheumatologist I've seen before. I felt she was truly interested in me as a patient, listened to my concerns, and answered my questons.
N.Patel has zero experience as a practicing rheumatologist. Her linken profile lists only a fellowship. Unlike cancer patients, rheumatology patients are still stigmatized and mistreated. Sorry to see new doctors who don't want to change that.
