I visited the Nigro Dermatology Group Clinic seeking a comprehensive evaluation for ongoing dermatological issues. Unfortunately, my consultation with Dr. Amanda Amster was highly unsatisfactory. My father has a bad case of acne and he has recently had to start seeing a dermatologist. I’ve been to this office twice with my father and both times it has been the most pleasant experience. The entire staff is very very warm and friendly and they also give me free skincare so I can prevent some of the stuff my father has at his later age. I’m extremely disappointed with the level of care I received at this clinic. I paid for a visit expecting professional guidance and effective treatment, but not only did the prescribed plan fail to make any difference, there was zero meaningful follow-up. What’s most frustrating is being told that in order to get any further help, I’d need to come in again and pay for another appointment—despite the first one clearly doing nothing. If you have to wait more than an hour to see a doctor please look for another doctor because by this point they are older and are planning to retire. Younger, enthusiastic doctors might not have the same experience but their compassion and humanity are higher. The first visit you get with Dr.Nigro she will reel you in but then if you decline antibiotics or medications not necessary for your face she will make you wait more than an hour to see her. Dr. J Nigro is lacking compassion and has horrible bed side manner. Take your kids to TCH where the real specialists are! Also, the pharmacy techs there are extremely rude. I would never step foot in that office again.
