My husband went to him for copd on August 17, 2023. He had been seeing him for a while we asked him if it was ok to travel to Denver. My husband was told he could go to Denver the next week. We went to Denver the last week in August and he had trouble breathing We came back the first of September and was told he had stage 4 lung cancer that had mestasized to his spine. How can someone not know this ?!

This doctor surreptitiously closed his office and removed all of his furniture without communicating this to his patients. He is a specialist, hard to come by. He should have his license voided.

he was my dr for 6 years then just left the practice without any notice to anyone.....what kind of dr just leaves his patients....he should be reported

What a surprise I got today. Went for my regularly scheduled appt. No Dr, no staff, office empty locked, phones disconnected. Okay. What happened since I saw him last? No notice. Where are my records? Long time patient as well as my Mom. Hoping to get answers from Amita Health. They have him listed as a leave of absence.

I have been with Dr. Sakka since 2010. I never had a problem when I was under his care. In Feb, I had called to reschedule for the later part of March. In the meantime, I received a phone call from SLA. I was informed that I had been referred to them by Dr. Sakka's office for future treatments. They need my medical records. I called Dr. Sakka's office. Answering service picked up. I was informed Dr. Sakka no longer in practice. She took my information requested medical records to be faxed to this new office. I have been seeing "Dr" Sakka for 10 years and I called to get refills and an answering service called and said he retired! At age 51 doubt it. Looks like he bailed in the midst of a pandemic, how horrible! No notice, no new Dr to go to, Nothing. How can he call himself a Doctor?! Hope he never tries to practice medicine in the USA again.

Ordered some items for my c-pac machine from Prism. They told me his practice was closed. No notification from Doctors office, called office number got answering service, who knew nothing about why closed down. Unable to transfer records, what a mess. Patient gets screwed

i have been going to him for 6 yrs..i just saw him in the beginning of march, I called his office to get a refill on my inhaler and was told by the service that he retired !!!....i cant believe he did not notify me..the service said 2 wks ago, and he told me nothing !!! HOW RUDE!!!

I saw Dr. Sakka @ the Sleep Clinic at LGH; a hospital I've been going to for 35+ years. Waited 6 mths for an appt. Bad experience; clinic is unorganized & run very poorly. I went there to see if I had sleep apnea - which I do. Dr. Sakka reviewed the questionnaire I filled out, asked me some questions, then said I needed a sleep study. I told him I wanted to do the home test. He said his staff checked with my insurance (BCBS-IL) and they REQUIRED me to do the test in the sleep clinic; a home test wasn't covered.
