Dr. Shah is a gifted clinician -both in terms of his technical expertise and his patient care. I am thrilled with the outcome of procedures he has performed and the careful follow up. He is an active scientist and principal investigator, contributing to his knowledge of a myriad of retinal conditions, which ultimately benefit his patients.

Dr. Shah is THE most knowledgeable Retina specialist. If you are in need of retina repair I highly recommend him! Not only did he correct my retina buckle, but he explained every part of my diagnosis in the most caring and kind way. His bedside manner is what you’ll notice first when you meet him. He puts you at ease and explains highly technical medical information into understandable terms. I can’t recommend him enough!
Dr. Shaw provided excellent retinal correction for me with a caring and compassionate presence throughout the entire process.
After waiting in the exam room for 20 minutes for him to finish talking to a medical records salesman, Dr Ansari announced he would no longer be treating me after 15+ years, but having a Optometrist take over my exams. You see an Optometrist when you go to Walmart. It’s all about revenue and not patient care. If you want a compassionate, caring doctor, I can not recommend Dr Ansari.
Dr. Ansari is a fantastic physician, and I feel very glad that my eye health is in his care. He does have a business-like manner during appointments, but his focus is on your health, and not on his bedside manner. While I do like to chit-chat as much as the next person, I understand that Dr. Ansari is focused and busy.
Dr. Shah treated me for bilateral macular holes. After Dr. Shah performed two successful surgeries, my vision has been restored. During the course of treatment, Dr. Shah was very informative and was very patient with me asking numerous questions. I am truly grateful for his expertise and wonderful bedside manner.
I first met Dr. Shah in 2017 for an emergency retina detachment in my left eye. He was very compassionate when talking with me and explained what to expect with the surgery and the recovery. He called me at home that night to make sure I was doing okay. Everything went really well with the surgery and my sight in that eye was restored. Fast forward to 2023 when I unexpectedly needed two more surgeries for a partial detachment in my right eye and lens replacement in my left eye. I first met Dr O’Connor when I had cataract procedures on both eyes, both successful. I returned several years later for a laser treatment on one eye to clear issues. My eye pressure was quite high that day and I shared that I was on prednisone. Initially the laser procedure was successful. My vision deteriorated, the pressure stayed elevated and eye drops didn’t help. Monthly visits didn’t help.
