I am a ICU/ER nurse with a specialty in trauma but not in Iowa; I had my R knee replaced by a different ortho at a different hospital 3 years ago and it wasn’t really the best experience. Horrible pain afterwords which continues to this day. So, when it came time to have my L knee replaced and reconstructed, my husband and I chose Dr. Noiseux to perform the surgery. Dr Noiseux did a unilateral knee replacement on my knee. I struggled with rehabilitating it even though I worked hard and knew what to do. I am a physical therapist. Aftercare was inadequate and I had to insist on an appt with the Dr. His staff just kept telling me to "give it time". When I saw the Dr, he was disrespectful, dismissive and demeaning to me. He blamed me for the problems I was having. He lacked any empathy. I am now going to have to have a revision to a total knee replacement.
Excellent Dr. My saved my mother's leg after 3 bad surgeries from another Dr. He replaced both of my knees. Passionate about his work.
