Sometimes they have great food but if it was excellent you will never be able to get it again. I would love to see this place succeed but they change the menu all the time. They need to change the specials not the entire menu. The black and blue beef tips were great, they took them off, the pimento cheese burger with homemade chips was great, they took them off, the original shrimp and grits were great they changed them. My husband and I have been here several times. We usually enjoy a really relaxing, romantic date night here up in the balcony and enjoy the black and white movie playing on the big screen, making the prices worth it. We have now been to this restaurant 3 times. I can honestly say that when they get the food right, it is very, very good. However, when they get it wrong, it's inedible! The first visit, my steak was basically raw when it was ordered as MW. The second visit, my husband's steak was basically raw in the middle and very much gristle and fat loaded! Last night, we ordered the crab and shrimp bisque. It was inedible. I guess someone thought it needed to be thicker and they added raw flour because that is all that could be tasted.... read more
Very disappointed. Made a reservation for 2 at 7:30, arrived at 7:20. We were told it would be 10 minutes. We left at 8:00 - they did not honor our reservation. It turns out that having a reservation still puts you on the wait list. There were several people that left when we decided to leave. Noticed on our way out that the rating for the restaurant was an 85. Kind of glad we didn't end up eating there after all. Walked out a bit irritated.
