We first met Dr. Nichols this fall when my husband was in the ER due to an infection in his toe that caused sepsis. The ER doc said he was about 24 hours from not making it. Dr. Nichols was on call and gave the ER doc instructions on what to do and scheduled him for surgery the next morning. Dr. Nichols was able to save the toe.
