Best Dr I have seen yet really listens and tries to help. I like her even more that now I know she stands on her beliefs and doesn’t let bullies affect her.
This is one of those situations that saddens me. A Dr that refuses patients because they make you uncomfortable. Regardless of your political stance, or your personal bias, medical science is still relevant. It doesn't take a great deal of effort to help a transgender patient. We are the same as anyone else. When you enter the field of medicine, the expectation is that you enter it with an open mind. When someone's health is concerned, someone who practices medicine - no matter what their beliefs may be - should listen to them and treat them to the best of their ability. If trans people make you uncomfortable, Ms. Miller - so uncomfortable that you refuse to take them on as clients - then I would do some serious introspection on whether this field is right for you. Refuses care to transgender patients because they "make her uncomfortable." Sorry, I didn't know your "comfort" is more important than your patients. Don't even bother. This doctor is not worth your time.
